Scorekeeping

Keep a clear round record

Agree the ending before entering the counts.

Choose the profile first

The scorebook uses a fixed training profile: twenty for Gin, ten for an undercut, and a hundred-point target. It does not add box, game or shutout bonuses. If your table uses different rewards, use a different ledger rather than quietly changing the meaning of a recorded round.

Record one completed round

Select the knocker or Gin player. For a knock, enter their positive deadwood count and the defender’s final count after legal layoffs. For Gin, enter the defender’s own count without layoffs. A void deal adds no points.

Check and correct

Read the result and running totals before the next deal. A round award is kept in full even when it takes a player past the target. Undo removes the most recent round and reopens a completed match if necessary.

Keep a copy

Export CSV before resetting or clearing browser data. Names and notes are plain text; do not put passwords or sensitive account details in them. The ledger does not sync to the server.
